Job Description The Advanced Locating Technician (ALT) is responsible for maintaining and protecting the assigned coverage area, ensuring compliance with client and state requirements. The role requires focus, skill, and proficiency with machinery and tools.
Responsibilities
Observe, locate, mark, and document underground and exposed pipeline locations.
Audit, locate, verify, and fix issues in pipeline utilities at an advanced level.
Fix broken tracer wires and tack weld tracer wires onto pipe.
Take pipe-to-soil readings and perform corrosion readings.
Expose utilities by hand when necessary.
Communicate with management, contractors, and utility customers to ensure damage‑free excavation.
Work independently or as part of a supervised team.
Demonstrate knowledge of required technology and tools.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid background check with no violations in the last 3 years.
Successful completion of a drug test.
Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Strong focus, skill, and physical stamina for equipment use.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Company laptop and smartphone.
