We’re now seeking a driven, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team at Elderwood Administrative Services. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on financial outcomes, leadership insights, and organizational decision-making.

What You’ll Do (Impact Summary)
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be a critical partner in our financial operations—ensuring accuracy, insight, and clarity across multiple Elderwood companies. You will:
Own key monthly financial responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and analyze budget variances & operational trends
Present financial results to facility leaders and executive leadership
Perform monthly close activities: expense accruals, adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations
Support Essential Organizational Functions
Collaborate with administrators and department heads regarding financial performance
Assist with annual budget development
Prepare audit workpapers and schedules for external auditors
Contribute to special projects that drive financial efficiency and business success

Responsibilities
Performs monthly financial accounting and financial analysis for assigned companies by:
Prepares financial statements, explains variances to budget and trend, and presents operating results to facility leadership and executive team
Assists with monthly financial close for several companies including expense accruals/adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, trend and financial analysis, and actual production of internal financial statements for operators and external financial statements for lenders
Works with facility personnel including administrators and department heads concerning monthly financial reports and budget comparisons
Assists in the preparation of annual budgets, audit work papers and schedules for external auditors
Assists with special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience
Demonstrated proficiency with computer usage and applications such as Microsoft Office and Great Plains accounting system
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
