Description Provides optimal nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients, leveraging the Nutrition Care Process—nutritional assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation—in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates individualized nutrition education. Supports education of dietetics students and new hires, and contributes to departmental continuing education. Assists with logistics in collaboration with supply chain, food services, and speech therapy. Independently orders diets, supplements, and tube feeding as approved by medical staff at each facility.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree required or Bachelor’s Degree prior to 2024
3+ years of relevant experience with a Specialist Certification, or 4+ years without a Specialty Certification
Experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred
Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required
State of Indiana RD licensure within 6 months of start date
Clinical billing may require CDR approval and Indiana state RD license before start
Expertise in malnutrition assessment, NFPE, enteral nutrition support, discharge planning, and specialized diet education
Competency in parenteral nutrition management
