Typical Work Schedule Dayshift, Monday through Friday, 7:00am‑3:30pm.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise multiple electrical construction projects, including medium and high voltage substation construction up to $10 million.
Coordinate and communicate with customers and owner representatives on all aspects of job scope.
Manage an in‑house electrical crew of foremen, team leaders, electricians, apprentices, laborers, subcontractors and temporary employees.
Oversee, pre‑plan and schedule manpower, equipment, tools and materials; construct site and civil work plans.
Interpret and analyze blueprints, including architectural, civil, electrical, fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing drawings and change orders.
Execute daily paperwork: manpower scheduling, daily journal, timecards, change‑order tracking and approvals.
Conduct safety program oversight: hazard identification, post‑accident investigations, toolbox talks and compliance monitoring.
Perform field work as needed while supervising crew operations.
Ensure clean work areas and orderly maintenance of tools, equipment and materials.
Provide mentorship, training and performance evaluations to crew team members.
Travel locally, within‑state and out‑of‑state for projects; accommodate overnight stays as required.
Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory/team‑leader role with demonstrated project leadership.
High School Graduate or GED.
Journeyperson certificate or equivalent work experience.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
OSHA 30 certification; aerial and forklift certification.
Valid first aid/CPR certification.
Expertise in 138 kV, 69 kV and 15 kV equipment, testing devices and circuits.
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E; attendance at approved seminars.
Strong communication, leadership and supervision skills.
Computer proficiency (iPad, laptop).
Physical ability to perform tasks such as trench digging, lifting, operating hand tools and mechanical lifts.
Commitment to company values and safety first culture.
Working Conditions
Lifting not to exceed 51 pounds; standing, bending or reaching for extended periods.
Required 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts.
Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers; frequent bending, stretching, twisting or reaching.
Capability to work on overhead, at heights up to 60 ft and in restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics.
Maintains personal tools and waist tool belt (≈30 lb).
Utilizes construction site sanitation facilities (Porta‑Johns).
Compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA and company safety requirements.
Special Requirements
Ability to travel locally, statewide and out‑of‑state; evening and weekend work as needed.
Mandatory personal transportation to and from local and regional jobsites.
Wearing personal protective equipment at all times: hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, rubber‑soled boots, gloves, harness where required.
Adherence to ladder weight limits and safety checks.
Background checks, screenings and physicals.
