Pay Range Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Function To represent the credit union to potential, new, and existing members and to complete the steps necessary to establish accounts and services. To understand the features and benefits of our services and products and to relate them to members through cross‑selling. To establish rapport that enhances member relationships with the credit union. Support Branch Managers in daily branch operations, provide support to all credit union departments, and perform all responsibilities of the position in support of our Core 4 Values.
Position Requirements General:
Detail‑oriented and service‑oriented; able to exhibit patience and flexibility in dealing with others.
Friendly and personable; able to establish rapport, build, and deepen member relationships.
Effective listener and good communicator.
Experience:
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Some college.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Duties
Respond to members in a knowledgeable, friendly, positive, and professional manner.
Demonstrate excellent communication techniques for successful interactions.
Demonstrate empathy and a positive mindset.
Work to achieve a personalized and convenient member experience.
Display diligence in attention to detail and accuracy; understand timeliness and follow‑through.
Share and show support for a variety of digital and online tools and resources.
Demonstrate a sense of responsibility, initiative, and dependability.
Strive for flexibility, resiliency, and adaptability to daily challenges.
Comprehend training and apply knowledge to daily interactions.
Work independently and collaboratively in support of branch operations.
Maintain and utilize reference material related to services, current promotions, procedures, and general information.
Adhere to information‑security procedures and maintain confidentiality.
Follow policies and procedures, including:
Cash Handling, Dual Control, & Balancing
Check Holds and Fraud Prevention
BSA & AML Regulatory Requirements
Assist with staffing at other branches as needed.
Work to achieve goals in support of the Core 4 Values of the Credit Union.
FSR Levels FSR I:
Processes member transactions; utilizes Teller Capture; basic Microsoft Office; navigate credit‑union systems; answer routine questions; balance procedures; maintain a clean work area; advise supervisor; maintain a positive mindset.
FSR II:
Accurately processes member applications and requests; performs self‑review; opens/closes accounts and related services; pulls and interprets Chex Systems and OFAC data; performs file maintenance; participates in loan referral; completes paperwork for joint owners, debit/credit cards, wire transfers, and notary services; handles complex requests.
FSR III:
Advanced knowledge of account products and credit‑union services; acts as a “buddy” to coworkers; seeks opportunities for greater responsibility; assists with Power of Attorney review; refers members to lending products; manages death claims; monitors pending work and daily calendar; processes complex transactions; competent in fraud prevention; assists with report management and project teams; demonstrates leadership skills and serves as a member services representative or operations specialist.
FSR Pay Ranges by Grade
FSR I: $20.00–22.00/hour
FSR II: $22.00–24.00/hour
FSR III: $24.00–26.00/hour
