Job Details We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Assurance Associate to join our accounting team. The role involves supporting audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, assisting in financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to high‑quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and executing audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Perform account reconciliations, testing of controls, and substantive audit procedures.
Document audit findings, prepare workpapers, and ensure compliance with firm and professional standards.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary documentation and resolve accounting issues.
Support senior staff with various accounting and advisory projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA licensure in progress or achieved is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit procedures.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a team.
