Summary We are seeking an experienced, full‑time Air Traffic Control Instructor‑II to join SAIC's Controller Training Solutions team at DFW. The role supports air traffic controller training services for the FAA and involves delivering high‑quality classroom and simulation laboratory instruction to a diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to developmental and certified professional air traffic controllers.

Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).

Participate in curriculum design and development.

Demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation and simulation systems.

Maintain radar/non‑radar laboratory certifications and comply with FAA requirements.

Required Qualifications

US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract instructor at an FAA facility at an equivalent or higher level than DFW.

High‑school diploma or GED.

FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification with ability to obtain and maintain Instructor‑II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification.

Desired Skills and Experience

Direct experience as a CPC at DFW is preferred but not required.

Operational experience with ATC simulators (e.g., TSS, AT Coach, SGET).

Excellent teaching and classroom management skills; student‑focused drive for continuous improvement.

Ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to meet local and national training needs.

FERS retirees earning as an ATC Instructor, ATC Training Instructional Supervisor, or Contractor Site Supervisor are exempt from the Supplemental Annuity earnings limits for retirees aged 56‑62.
