Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor
The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor will assist in leading our maintenance team operations. They will work closely with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance procedures and projects for the
hangars, terminal, passenger jet bridges, baggage handling system, and off‑site government affairs buildings.
In coordination with the Manager, the Supervisor will verify and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and customers by OSHA and Airport Policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise high‑skilled and general maintenance technicians.
Train and lead team members in preventive maintenance and repairs.
Under the Manager’s direction, establish daily priorities for all facilities maintenance requests and adjust schedules to meet regular and emergency demand.
Assist the Manager in implementing work order schedules and maximizing usage of available capacity and resources for daily office operations.
Conduct daily facility inspections to identify necessary repairs.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on PBB systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics related to boarding bridges.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections and tasks according to maintenance schedules.
Respond to service requests and emergencies to resolve bridge issues in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure all boarding bridge systems comply with operational and safety standards.
Diagnose other equipment issues and assist in the diagnosis of process‑related problems through collaborative teamwork.
Perform seasonal snow and ice removal duties, including shoveling walkways, applying de‑icing agents, and operating snow blowers or plows as needed.
Use computer‑based CMMS system to create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment, maintenance, and parts used.
Be available for flexible hours and an assigned emergency on‑call schedule.
Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety, and PPE requirements.
Capture before and after work photos.
Communicate and enforce workplace safety precautions.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with outside vendors.
Act as primary contact in the Manager’s absence.
Identify opportunities for improvement of the facility and the maintenance program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION
Associate degree or technical certification in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of facility management experience.
Proficiency in MS programs – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) system.
Minimum of 2 years supervising, mentoring, guiding, and directing employees in a similar role.
Proven interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication.
Working knowledge of airport infrastructure systems (PBBs, BHS) is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
Responsible for training in preventive maintenance and repair techniques.
Receives general direction to achieve goals; evaluated on successful performance of essential duties.
Participates in the interview process; assists in selection, onboarding, and training of new employees.

WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Correctable vision and hearing; regularly lift, drag, carry, and push equipment up to 50 lbs.

Drive a vehicle; pass driver history check; current driver's license.
Exposure to mechanical, electrical, noise hazards; inclement weather conditions.
Flexibility to be present for all shifts to support the team and/or building as needed.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Pass a drug test.
Pass a Keystone Management background check.
Pass a Federal Aviation Administration background check.
Pass the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport SIDA badge and driver’s test within two (2) tries.
Reside within 40 minutes of the work location.
