Must hold a Dental Radiographer Certificate and be proficient in assisting in the examination and treatment of dental oncology patients under the direction of the dentist. Responsibilities include assisting the dentist in patient examinations, obtaining dental imaging, conducting patient interviews, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and accurately recording patient information in EMR and/or patient charts.
Estimated pay range: $22.53 - $29.29 per hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent experience.
Licenses & Certifications
Basic Life Support.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
Dental Radiographer Certification.
Additional Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program recognized by the ADA Commission on Accreditation.
Must hold a current Dental Radiographer certificate and graduated with Expanded Dental Function.
Experience in oncologic dentistry and oral prosthodontistry strongly preferred.
Professional, organized, detail-oriented team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.
Compassionate demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and high ethical standards.
HIPAA/OSHA compliance required.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Proficient in computer applications and typing skills.
Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines and medical terminology a plus.
Minimum required experience: 3 years.
