Based in any U.S. office, the Legal Technology Solutions Analyst will play a leading role in designing and implementing information systems and AI‑powered solutions to improve business workflows for the firm. This position combines technical expertise, creativity, and strategic thinking, with a strong emphasis on prompt engineering, synthetic data creation, and technology design. The role offers the opportunity to directly shape the technology strategy and deliver innovative tools to both internal teams and clients.
This role reports to the Practice Innovation Attorney.
Responsibilities
Design prompt engineering solutions for legal and business functions to ensure high‑quality, consistent AI outputs.
Create synthetic datasets using AI tools for testing, training, and proof‑of‑concept projects.
Build and maintain client‑facing intranet sites, ensuring professional design and usability.
Develop training materials and provide guidance on AI solutions that are developed for attorneys and staff.
Collaborate with attorneys, knowledge managers, and technologists to identify and implement AI‑driven solutions.
Contribute significantly to the firm’s AI Institute training initiatives, including workflow design, pilot projects, and best practice documentation.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs) and AI‑driven content generation.
Proven ability to translate business and legal needs into effective technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Engineering, programming, or web development background.
Knowledge of synthetic data techniques and model evaluation.
Familiarity with workflow automation tools and integrations.
Interest in learning emerging technologies and expanding technical skills under guidance.
Experience
3‑5 years of experience in AI prompt engineering, automation, or applied technology.
Hands‑on experience with content or web platforms such as HighQ, SharePoint, or similar.
Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred.
Gibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.
The annual compensation range for this position is $115-135k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
