Location This position floats to various Express Care locations across the RSFH system, including but not limited to West Ashley, North Charleston, Mt Pleasant and Summerville.

Hours 8:00 am - 8:30 pm or as Needed.

Job Summary Responsible for greeting visitors, directing visitors to correct destination, answering telephone, monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness, assisting in scheduling conference room bookings, assisting mailroom in proper delivery of interoffice mail, scheduling appointments as necessary, stocking basic supplies, and promoting teamwork in the building. Ability to work for multiple departments. Customer service is top priority, complies with policies and procedures, follows all safety regulations, creates an environment based on Standards of Behavior. Performs any and all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High school graduate or GED

Experience:

One year experience in customer service or clerical. Healthcare or medical office experience preferred for positions located in a clinical setting.

Knowledge/Skills

Skill in greeting visitors and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.

Ability to speak clearly and concisely.

Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.

Ability to sort and file material by alphabetic or numeric systems and ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with visitors, vendors and employees.

Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type correspondence as necessary.

Knowledge of computers and relevant software application.

Skill in operating a photocopy machine, computer, and various other office machines.

Strong typing skills, Good organizational skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

The ability to multitask effectively and complete assignments in a timely manner is required.

Attention to detail, initiative, reliability and stress tolerance are preferred.

Other Ability to work with others as a team and to coordinate office procedures.

Work Demands / Environment

Frequent sitting. Frequently requires long periods of working at a computer.

Intermittent walking, standing, stooping, bending, stretching.

May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs.

Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity.

Constant talking or hearing.

Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Minimal risk of exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.

Normal office environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours.

Ability to read and comprehend.
