Safety Administrator (Bi-lingual)

The Safety Administrator (Bi‑lingual) will support the Nucor Project at Apple Grove, West Virginia, reporting to the Site Safety Manager. The role includes onboarding new employees, managing safety programs, and performing administrative tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they receive proper safety training and orientation.
Maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on the construction site.
Provide training sessions on safety practices and procedures to all employees.
Assist in accident investigations and compile reports to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reporting.
Support project managers and supervisors in promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
Perform general administrative tasks related to safety compliance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety support roles within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish required.
Ability to conduct training sessions and facilitate onboarding processes.
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is a plus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Physical Demands
Overtime, weekend work, odd hours, and overnight travel as required.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, ironwork, and scaffolding to heights of up to 200 feet.
Ability to walk in excess of five miles per day.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 60 pounds occasionally and carry 25 pounds frequently.
Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations and a dusty, loud environment.
Must be able to work around high voltage electromagnetic fields.
