Lexicon Industrial Construction Lexicon Industrial Construction is a leading firm in the construction industry, committed to delivering exceptional projects while ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce and the environment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Administrator to join our team for the Nucor Project in Apple Grove, West Virginia.
Position Summary The Safety Administrator, reporting to the Site Safety Manager, will be responsible for onboarding new employees, managing safety programs, and performing administrative tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role is essential in supporting the safety processes and does not include management responsibilities. The position requires strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.
This position is deemed ‘safety sensitive’ due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employee’s co-workers, and/or the public at large.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they receive proper safety training and orientation.
Maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on the construction site.
Provide training sessions on safety practices and procedures to all employees.
Assist in accident investigations and compile reports to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reporting.
Support project managers and supervisors in promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
Perform general administrative tasks related to safety compliance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety support roles within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct training sessions and facilitate onboarding processes.
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is a plus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. The company does not provide employment visa sponsorship.
Physical Demands Overtime, weekend work, odd hours, and overnight travel as required. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, ironwork and scaffolding to heights
