Lead Operational Excellence Consultant - Legal Operations (Hybrid)
Hybrid role – minimum 10 days per month onsite at Madison, WI 53783. Reside within approximately 50 miles of the office.
Compensation Range: $99,000 – $167,000 per year. Salary. Relocation support available for eligible candidates.
Position reports to Senior Manager, Legal Operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategy trends aligning work processes with technology capabilities.
Analyze current operational performance data, benchmark against internal & external standards, and shape operational strategy.
Provide recommendations to executives for operational strategy, tactical plans, and technology considerations.
Oversee continuous improvement programs related to operational strategies.
Transfer knowledge of methodologies and best practices through mentoring and presentations.
Interpret business issues and recommend solutions and best practices.
Represent legal team needs in governing & improving existing technology platforms and in researching & procuring new technology.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer‑driven solutions or service.
Solid knowledge of P&C insurance operations and management.
Experience consulting to executive‑level leaders on strategic direction.
Ability to build relationships and achieve goals across highly matrixed organization.
Clear and effective communication at all leadership levels.
Experience providing customer‑driven solutions in complex and ambiguous environments.
Analyze data and present clear recommendations.
Lead technology acquisition projects, proofs of concept, prioritize use cases, advise sourcing.
Shadow decision‑makers to understand critical inputs and identify automation potential.
Perform internal & external benchmarking of technology best practices.
Background checks and signing NDA required.
Non‑sponsorship for visa applications – position restricted to U.S. citizens or eligible non‑immigrants.
Travel Requirements Up to 10% travel.
Physical Requirements Sitting/standing required.
