Base pay range : $34.61/hr - $40.20/hr
Primary Function:
Plan, coordinate, oversee, and perform all required operations to construct, install, maintain and repair a wide variety of plant equipment. Work involves all types of general maintenance, including troubleshooting difficult equipment problems – electronic, hydraulic, air logic, mechanical, or combined.
Job Duties:
Oversee activities of area tradesmen and custodial staff. Plan, organize, and assign work to utilize skills, ability and experience of available workforce to obtain most favorable cost, workmanship, and quality.
Provide weekly updates to Maintenance Supervisor regarding tradesmen activities; assist with tradesmen reviews.
Responsible for ensuring proper plant shutdown and startup during weekends and vacation periods.
Utilize MaintainX software to oversee and maintain our preventive maintenance program, including assigning, coordinating, and closing out PMs and shop work orders.
Repair or diagnose mechanical problems for a variety of production machines to ensure efficient maintenance and repair.
Train and direct other maintenance personnel in repairing and maintaining all types of equipment. Direct and assist crews in building maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and equipment modifications. Ensure ISO 9001 compliance, monitor safety procedures, and regulate and coordinate shop floor activities of outside contractors.
Maintain plant maintenance areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Avoid and detect errors and report all unusual conditions to Plant Engineering Manager. Perform similar and associated duties as required or directed.
Assigned to emergency contact list for fire alarm and security system fault signals.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor when needed for solicitation of quotes and oversight of work for outsourced scenarios utilizing private contractors.
Maintains necessary facility credentials to comply with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Industrial Maintenance certificate/diploma/formal training required.
