Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day maintenance operations on the 1st shift. This hands‑on leadership role is in a high‑performing, safety‑driven meat processing facility. Meat manufacturing experience is required. The position is ideal for a technical leader who thrives on the plant floor and has direct experience supporting high‑speed protein processing and packaging operations.
What You’ll Do
Lead, schedule, and mentor maintenance technicians on 1st shift
Support and troubleshoot MULTIVAC and similar sealing/packaging equipment
Drive preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA, and plant standards
Partner closely with Production and Operations leadership
Manage work orders, spare parts, and contractor coordination
Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and reliability
What We’re Looking For
3‑5+ years of maintenance experience in meat or protein manufacturing (required)
Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background
Hands‑on experience with MULTIVAC‑type sealing equipment, packaging lines, conveyors, mixers, and processing systems
Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety requirements
Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills
