Job Description This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by helping members become economically and emotionally self‑reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items; helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering, thus furthering the mission of the Church. Under the direction of the Production and Distribution Director, and in compliance with Welfare and Self‑Reliance Services' policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical management to assigned Bishops' Storehouses and Home Storage Centers. The incumbent also provides technical training to Church service missionary managers and assists the Area Welfare and Self‑Reliance Manager and Regional Specialists in providing training of welfare principles and priesthood oversight to local leaders; and manages other operations overseen by HQ Welfare Services.

Responsibilities

35% – Coordinate, conduct, and facilitate tours of facilities to various public groups, including support for VIP tours at Welfare Square.

35% – Train Church-service unit missionaries, managers and local leaders.

15% – Inventory management of all units including Bishops' Central Storehouse functions where applicable.

5% – Implement policies and procedures.

5% – Safety management and training.

5% – Regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

BS in business, operations management, or other related field.

4 years of experience in a related field, with at least 2 of those in a management role.

Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of welfare principles and Church leadership roles and responsibilities.

An ability to train and motivate others.

Demonstrated ability to teach and train diverse groups of missionaries and volunteers.

Physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing ladders, maintaining grain silos; forklift and delivery truck operation.

Preferred

Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred.
