Construction Project Manager (EV Charging)

As a leading project and cost management consultancy, Cumming Group invites you to manage multiple installations of EV charging stations for a marquee client. This work-from-home position requires 25‑50% travel within your region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.

Value engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.

Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.

Prepare the Project Management Plan and fee budget/proposal at the project outset.

Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s specific goals and expectations to all project team members.

Develop and communicate action plans that will guide the project team from the initial Project Management Plan through completion.

Coordinate with the cost management group for cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.

Drive the permitting process by preparing submission documents for local, state, and federal agencies and ensuring permits progress efficiently.

Ensure design management follows the client’s project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and design standards.

Prepare cost and revenue projections.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Experience managing the construction of complex electrical or industrial projects.

Ability to travel semi‑locally a couple days per week.

Experience preparing Project Management Plans and fee/budget proposals.

Experience developing and driving action plans.

Demonstrated ability to monitor scope throughout the project and recommend adjustments when necessary.

Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections.

Knowledge of permitting processes and ability to drive the process to meet project timelines.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of how your role contributes to the organization’s goals.

Preferred Education And Experience Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field

Experience: 5+ years in Project Management, engineering, or construction management

3+ years of electrical project experience highly preferred

Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

Compensation The salary range for this full‑time role is $97,400.00‑$129,866.68 per year, based on position, geography, client, industry experience, and level. This reflects base salary only; total compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications.
