Job Summary And Qualifications
The Manager of Clinical Operations accepts responsibility for all department functions in support of the mission, vision, and values of the facility.
You will manage the delivery of administrative support to the organization via the Nursing Administrative (House) Supervisors, Float Pool, and Hospitalist coordinator.
You can function in any of the roles in the Nursing Office Department when needed.
You will be responsible for management of the Administrative Supervisors, Staffing Coordinator, and Administrative Patient Flow Supervisor.
You will manage the adult inpatient float pool staff and hospitalist coordinator.
You will be responsible for patient flow and throughput, and the systems therein (AgileTrac, Navicare, ED Master View, etc.), as well as supporting the general operations of clinical care regarding staffing, emergency procedures, customer service, service recovery and managing metrics such as MOTs, Codes and others as identified.
You will integrate collaborative practice and working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
Advanced degree preferred.
Certification in specialty preferred (enrollment within the first year of hire required).
Two to five years of experience in management or related role.
Experience should include management of personnel, payroll, staff scheduling, contractor recruiting, physician relations and management of supervisory positions.
Experience should include high proficiency with computer technology (such as Excel, Access, etc.), as well as nursing applications such as bed management and resource scheduling.
Licensure/Certification
Current RN license in the State of Texas required.
AHA or ARC ACLS, BLS required.
