Registered Nurse – Home Infusion PromptCare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our team. The Nurse will provide specialized home‑care nursing to patients, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans while administering intravenous medications and treatments. The Nurse will also educate patients and families about home care, medications, and treatments.

Job Type and Location Full‑time, day shifts, 40 hours per week with on‑call responsibilities. Milford, MA and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

Conducts initial nursing assessments and evaluations to qualify patients for appropriate and safe home infusion therapy.

Trains patients and caregivers in all infusion procedures and equipment.

Develops and revises the patient’s plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, pharmacist, and physician.

Visits all assigned patients as ordered, documenting patient compliance and tolerance to prescribed therapy.

Provides direct patient care as ordered and allowed by state law.

Assumes on‑call responsibility as assigned on a routine basis.

Inventories patient supplies and informs pharmacy of patient needs.

Coordinates patient care with other home‑care agencies as necessary.

Counsel patients on therapy management, side effects, and other pertinent issues.

Collaborates with the pharmacist for clinical recommendations to enhance therapy response.

Plans daily events to be efficient, minimizing travel time by planning routes ahead of time.

Submits professional nursing notes for each patient visit into the enterprise system immediately following each IV therapy session.

Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s SOPs and applies them consistently.

Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and SOPs at all times.

Provides white‑glove service to patients and family members.

Submits expense reports for travel monthly in a timely manner.

Projects a positive attitude toward patients and family members and participates in PromptCare’s employee activities.

Per‑diem/part‑time Registered Nurses are expected to make every attempt to provide nursing services for PC per request on short notice.

Hours may vary due to the nature of home infusion; weekend and evening hours are required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts and in good standing.

Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Professional liability insurance required.

CPR certification.

Knowledge of PIV, mid‑line, PICC line, tunneled catheters, and ports.

At least 2 years’ experience as a home infusion nurse or equivalent field‑based home nursing experience.

ED experience preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion and infusion pumps.

Certified Nurse Infusionist (CRNI) preferred.

Inotropes, intravenous immunoglobulin, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) experience is a major advantage.

Physical Demands This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, climbing, and lifting and/or moving 30 pounds or more.
