Collin Springs, a 72‑bed behavioral health hospital in McKinney, TX, is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a PRN Outpatient Therapist, you will play a vital role in making communities healthier by providing high‑quality care to patients with psychological, emotional, or substance abuse challenges.
How You’ll Contribute
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients about psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems
Display active involvement in the treatment planning process
Provide family counseling sessions to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and outside referral sources
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff
Actively communicate with team members and provide updates on treatment and length of stay issues
Complete accurate assessments and appropriate documentation in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
Demonstrate crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills; act as a team member during crisis situations to ensure patient safety
Assist with care coordination department requests when needed
Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards in accordance with TJC, Medicaid, and federal regulations
Support discharge, transition, and after‑care planning processes

What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent (required)
Current clinical or social work license in Texas
CPR and CPR certification within 30 days of employment
Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
