Position Summary Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree.
Minimum Experience
None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health.
1 year in acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis.
Preferred Experience
2 years in acute care for Med/Surg.
2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health.
2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis.
Required Licensure & Certifications
Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (Behavioral Health) within 60 days of hire or transfer.
Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire (ARC or AHA). Must have AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
