Laboratory Technician III The Laboratory Technician III will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of food safety, quality, and operational teams. This role involves in-process and final product testing, monitoring laboratory instrumentation performance, documenting results, and communicating findings both verbally and in writing. The technician will work with minimal supervision while supporting trials, experiments, and complex laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine analytical testing for in-process and finished food products.

Monitor, check, and document laboratory instrumentation performance.

Accurately document test results in databases and communicate findings verbally and in writing.

Follow safe laboratory practices to protect self and others.

Verify proper functioning of laboratory workstations and equipment.

Attend routine safety meetings and comply with safety protocols.

Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of standard and complex laboratory equipment.

Support trials and experiments under the guidance of senior laboratory staff.

Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and determining corrective actions.

Assist in the evaluation and interpretation of complex and atypical test results in collaboration with senior personnel.

Maintain laboratory supplies by managing inventory, placing orders, and verifying receipt.

Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues with minimal supervision.

Escalate only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, secondary education level, or equivalent.

Minimum of

4 years of related laboratory work experience .

Proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation.

Experience working within

ISO 17025-accredited laboratories

or compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.

Associate’s degree with coursework and hands‑on experience in a laboratory setting.
