Laboratory Technician
Job Description
Complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety, quality and operational teams.
Perform routine product testing, monitoring instrumentation performance, and conduct tests under intermediate supervision.
Document results into databases and communicate test results as required.
Help develop a food/feed safety, quality and regulatory culture by collaborating cross‑functionally to build, maintain and improve safety and quality practices.
Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and simple repairs on analytical instrumentation, keeping customer specification books up to date.
Interpret and document test results into active databases and communicate findings to internal customers.
Ensure compliance programs for all testing, monitoring adherence to regulations and other procedural food safety compliance.
Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in‑process and final products independently, supporting more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
Handle clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Work Monday‑Friday, 6:30 am‑3:00 pm.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
