What You’ll Be Doing
Engage with team members to ensure they receive onboarding, training, development, coaching, and feedback.
Identify talent and facilitate career discussions to support staffing and a diversified talent pipeline.
Handle candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and encourage growth.
Accountable for area operations and financial results, managing corporate plan execution to maximize sales and productivity while owning P&L budget lines.
Drive safety and compliance, and maintain store condition management.
Ensure Team Leaders and Leads assign daily work and training needs.
Perform additional duties as necessary.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer‑service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
A passion for delivering industry‑leading service.
Strong communication skills, able to provide clear direction.
Ability to analyze financial and statistical data to inform decisions.
Commitment to safe work practices.
Creative and proactive thinking applied to business challenges.
Deep understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising.
Strong business acumen and innovative mindset.
