Title Grants Accountant
Description Professional accounting position responsible for providing decision support and grant assistance to the President/CEO as needed. Support includes providing technical assistance to staff responsible for preparing annual operating budget; utilizing and maintaining the annual budget in the accounting system and monitoring the adopted budget. This position also provides support to those who are responsible for developing modeling templates for recurring reports: cost reports, UDS, FCM and projecting operational budgeting needs for specific grant opportunities as assigned.
Primary Functions
Supports those who direct and coordinate the preparation of the annual budget.
Provides technical support to those responsible for importing, maintaining and updating operating budgets in Drillpoint/Sage accounting.
Supports those responsible for completing the budget component of Grant applications.
Provides support to those in accounting who develop and implement audit procedures to ensure compliance with grant regulations.
Handles special assignments as directed by the President/CEO.
Qualifications
College degree with major in accounting or finance or equivalent.
Experience in the health care industry is desirable but not required.
Computer literacy and extensive electronic spreadsheet knowledge.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal effectively with stress.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer terminal.
Visual ability to review and work from written and printed materials.
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
