We’re seeking an
Oral Surgery Assistant
to support surgical residents and attending providers in the oral surgery clinic and dental ambulatory OR/procedure room.
Base pay range $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Responsibilities
Escort patients to the surgical chair, review medical records, verify treatment plans, and ensure charts are complete.
Provide continuous
four-handed surgical assistance
during all procedures.
Clean and disinfect countertops, equipment, and operative areas before setup.
Prepare sterile instruments, surgical trays, and equipment for each procedure.
Take radiographs before, during, and after procedures as needed.
Monitor patient vitals and provide chairside support including suctioning, passing instruments, and assisting with medications.
Restock cabinets and drawers; order and maintain medical and surgical supplies.
Remove and clean instruments post-procedure and dispose of medical waste according to protocol.
Respond effectively in emergency situations.
Qualifications
Dental Assistant Certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education: Associate's Degree
