Primary Job Duties This full‑time role serves as part of the support office team, and as a Training Coordinator in our Pilot Training Department. You will work in a logistical environment with a variety of time‑sensitive deadlines that require critical thinking and multi‑tasking skills. The result is a rewarding opportunity to schedule and support personnel and the pilot new hires for their routine training process, while learning many different facets of the SkyWest operation.
Multiple software platforms/windows are open and used throughout the day
Build schedules, track progress and reschedule classes, students, and sessions as needed
Verify instructor qualifications for scheduled sessions
Make necessary travel/lodging arrangements
Maintain excellent communication with instructors, pilot records, flight operations managers and supervisors
Maintain knowledge of all department, company and FAA policies
Prepare reports in Excel and other programs as necessary
Minimum Requirements
Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
Strong data entry and computer skills
Exceptional customer service skills, written and verbal
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
Some flexibility to work overtime to meet deadlines
Self‑starter and motivated team player with critical thinking skills
Ability to work multiple tasks while maintaining focus and detail
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Physical & Other Requirements
Full‑time schedule Monday–Friday; 8‑hour shift 7:30 am and 5:30 pm; may require holidays
Position is not remote; located at training facility in Salt Lake City, UT; candidates must reside near or relocate to the Salt Lake City metro area
Moderate noise functional environment with computers, printers, light traffic, and group cubicle setting
Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
Position is not a Department of Transportation Safety Sensitive position
