Job Title:
Sr. EEO Specialist
Location:
4 Irving Place, New York, NY (Hybrid)
Schedule:
(Mon – Fri) 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Eastern Time)
Must‑Have Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
Minimum 5 years of experience conducting investigations of employment discrimination complaints, including fact‑finding interviews, credibility assessments, and evidence analysis
In‑depth knowledge of current Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations
Subject‑matter expertise in EEO investigative complaint handling and case management
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to manage EEO caseloads and ensure timely resolution
Valid Driver’s License
Job Description: The Sr. Specialist will support the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Culture by conducting employment discrimination investigations, providing expert guidance on EEO best practices, and promoting an inclusive and respectful work environment aligned with corporate values.
Responsibilities:
Conduct EEO fact‑finding interviews, assess credibility, and analyze documentary and comparative evidence
Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports of investigative findings
Counsel and recommend solutions related to internal and external complaints of discrimination, harassment, or policy violations
Participate in mediations, conferences, hearings, and arbitrations as required
Research and remain current on EEO and affirmative action laws and regulations
Provide leadership, expert consultation, and deliver targeted EEO training and awareness programs
Advise Human Resources partners and employees on EEO policies, procedures, and issues
Engage effectively with management, union employees, and government agencies
Demonstrate discretion, tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment in sensitive situations
Respond to company emergencies through System Emergency Assignments when required
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Five (5) or more years of EEO investigative and case management experience
Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills
Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise EEO investigative reports
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working in unionized environments
Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in labor & Employment Law, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management, or a related field
