We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry‑Level Tax Associate to join our client's growing tax team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their career in public accounting or corporate tax. As a Tax Associate, you will work closely with senior team members to prepare and review tax returns, conduct tax research, and assist with various tax‑related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
Gather and organize financial data from clients and internal teams
Perform basic tax research using online databases and tools
Support the team during tax season and deadlines with data entry and administrative tasks
Maintain accurate and organized documentation of tax work and client communications
Stay current on relevant tax regulations and filing requirements
Assist with audits, notices, and other correspondence from tax authorities as needed
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
Basic understanding of tax laws and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with tax software like ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or UltraTax is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
CPA or CPA‑eligible is a plus but not required
