Seeking a Project Manager, Finance Data Platforms for EPM to lead overall coordination, direction, and management of complex IT projects with focus on data across the organization. The role is responsible for overseeing multiple project teams and ensuring successful delivery of Enterprise Technology services that align with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
li Accountable for overseeing the planning, driving execution and delivery of large‑scale, complex implementation projects li Demonstrates clear understanding of the program’s vision, objectives, scale and scope of work, expected outcomes, business value and impact, timelines, roadmaps, resource level requirements li Works independently, receives minimal guidance, and leads through influence li Responsible to a Project Management Office (PMO) consisting of a matrixed set of resources li Actively leads project planning and overall strategy, to include resource needs identification li Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, other technology partners and delivery managers li Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Data Engineering, and Technology teams li Interfaces with key partners and vendors, ensuring they understand both project and project deliverables, meet timing, and cost deadlines, and collaborate with internal project stakeholders to achieve project results li Co‑ordinates bi‑weekly Data Council meeting, including managing agenda and RAID logs for the Data Council li Proactively identifies and actively leads in the resolution of issues and conflicts li Responsible for escalations to leadership and to vendors as appropriate to drive results li Continually apprises leadership and relevant business stakeholders of status and anything not on track li Communicates successes supported by metrics/KPIs illustrating the business value of IT solutions li Manages project budgets and forecasts, consistently working with leadership and finance teams to control project expenditures against the operating expense and capital budgets li Analyzes, measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions, participates in analysing and using financial data to identify key project issues, and maintains budget tracking and monitors budget expenditures li Actively leads in establishing and tracking progress to key performance indicators li Responsible for evaluating and tracking overall project health and status; producing actionable insights li Manages weekly project status reporting li Identifies and ensures Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) are logged and actioned; works with project management and execution team to resolve items li Leads/participates in sourcing and contracting activities li Ensures clear communication of project scopes, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis li Exemplary communication and presentation skills, both oral and written li Ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences li Identifies gaps in the project team’s accountability and ownership of deliverables
Basic Qualifications
li 8 years in a technology leadership role in a corporate environment of a similar size/complexity li Working knowledge of the integrated systems lifecycle development utilizing different, and sometimes multiple development models (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.) li Familiarity with data engineering, ETL tools, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) li EPM budgeting and financial planning experience li Experience establishing and driving strategy and design for, and implementing and/or upgrading major ERP/Finance platforms li Experience leading large, matrixed project teams including architects, developers, operations, PMs, business analysts, and vendor partners li Experience in leading inter‑organization change to increase efficiency through the implementation of technology li Experience managing project, project and team budgets and financials li Experience with security and compliance li Proven track record of execution, driving results and meeting commitments li Comfortable at using modern work‑management and collaboration tools (Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project on the Web, Confluence, SharePoint/Teams, Slack)
