Job Summary Under the direction of the Utilities Superintendent, the Utilities Worker I performs a variety of tasks in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water/sewer collection systems and related facilities. Provides support to other departments within Public Works as assigned and responds to and investigates citizen inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid Class C Texas driver's license

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

Must be able to obtain a Class D Water or Collection I Wastewater license within one (1) year from the date of hire or date moved to the position.

May be required to obtain certification or licensure specific to area of assignment after date of employment at the City’s expense.

Special Requirements: City of Bellmead employment application required. Resumes highly encouraged. Submit proof of licenses.

Health Insurance: Three health plans through UnitedHealthcare with 100% of the employee-only premium covered for the EPO‑HSA Plan. The City contributes $50 to the employee’s HSA and matches contributions up to $25 per month.
