Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

A day in the life You arrive at the branch and kick off the day by aligning crews, schedules, and materials. You confirm permits are ready, job packets are accurate, and equipment is staged. Throughout the day you monitor productivity and safety, jump in to troubleshoot field issues, and verify that workmanship meets company standards and North Carolina licensing requirements. You close the day by reviewing timecards, material usage, and documentation so every install is profitable, compliant, and customer‑ready.

What You’ll Lead

Direct daily HVAC installation and production activities for a single branch, aligning schedules, crews, and material flow.

Track KPIs such as job quality, completion timelines, labor utilization, and adherence to safety protocols.

Uphold installation procedures, workmanship benchmarks, and customer service expectations.

Provide hands‑on troubleshooting support; escalation of complex issues as needed.

Production & Workflow Execution

Oversee job staging, equipment readiness, inventory planning, and material allocation.

Ensure technicians have accurate job packets, permits, and clear install instructions.

Measure labor productivity, installation throughput, and material consumption to drive efficiency and profitability.

Perform quality checks and post‑install inspections; complete documentation for warranty and regulatory compliance.

Team Coaching & Safety

Coach technicians and apprentices daily to strengthen methods, safety, and equipment handling.

Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the crew.

Lead safety briefings, jobsite audits, and tool/equipment inspections.

Customer Experience & Communication

Coordinate closely with customer service and sales to align schedules and set expectations.

Support field teams in handling on‑site customer questions and concerns.

Verify that completed installs meet quality benchmarks and deliver high customer satisfaction.

Administration & Compliance

Assist with timecard review, documentation accuracy, and material tracking.

Maintain compliance with North Carolina HVAC licensing and regulatory requirements.

Support branch reporting, job costing inputs, and material/equipment requisitions.

Qualifications & Experience

3–5 years in residential HVAC installation/production; 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.

Strong knowledge of installation processes, equipment, and jobsite best practices.

Proven ability to lead small teams and enforce quality and safety standards.

Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and manufacturer instructions.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Basic proficiency with field service/job management software (e.g., ServiceTitan).

Licenses, Education & Certifications

H3‑T Heating Technician License — required to hold, maintain, or obtain.

EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred) — required to hold or maintain.

H3‑I Heating Group 3 – Class I Contractor License — strongly preferred; authorizes work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

SP‑PH Special Plumbing & Heating License — strongly preferred; permits limited HVAC‑related electrical work.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school training preferred.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
