Full Time Field Service Technician – Portland, Maine
Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Portland, Maine area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon).
The territory consists of 30+ kiosks and number of hours per week is around 40. This role pays $22‑24 an hour depending on experience. Company car will be provided along with cell‑phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles. Cities include Portland, Scarborough, and Falmouth Maine among others.

Essential Job Functions
Re‑stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
Perform on‑call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
Keep track of inventory for re‑stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred).
A minimum of 1‑3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
Ability to work weekends when required
Operational Equipment
Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver’s license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement)
Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)
Work Environment and Physical Demands Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set‑up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors.
Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Functional vision and hearing required.
Sales/Service Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
