Job Description Boulevard Tire Center is growing! We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician for our DeLand, FL location. Production experience is a plus and the ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail, be flexible, and maintain a good attendance and safety record. If you have a willingness to learn and are interested in advancement, we are willing to train.
JOB SUMMARY: Powder coat wheels according to customer specifications.
Essential Functions
Maintain regular attendance and be at the work station on time each scheduled workday.
Place wheel on pallet for storage.
Prepare wheel/rims for refinishing by removing valve stems and wheel weights, then place wheel in blaster, remove from blaster and transfer to the powder coating booth using a wheel hoist.
Use a powder coating gun, ensuring safety glasses and a respirator are worn for protection, spray wheel with the proper color to manufacturer specifications.
Slide wheel on the monorail into the oven. The wheel will bake in the oven for 10‑12 minutes as it automatically moves through the oven by conveyor. The wheel will cool down on the monorail before removal.
Let the wheel cool down on the monorail before removal.
Once the wheel is cooled down, while still hooked, move to the pallet, using gloves and stack. Wheels will cure up to 24 hours before re‑mounting the tire.
Other Duties
Inspect repairs and lubricate equipment, following manufacturing instructions to maintain good operating condition.
Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the plant. Sweep floors and walls as necessary.
Receive, unload, and store items such as tires and wheels in designated places.
Comply with Company Safety Policy and follow fire prevention instructions.
Maintain a stock of repair/refurbishing materials, advising the manager when replenishment is necessary.
Have the ability and flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
