Traveling Data Center Licensed Journeyman Electrician - $140 Daily Per Diem
Kidwell is seeking a highly-motivated individual to fill the role of Mission Critical (Data Center) Journeyman Electrician in the Kansas City Market for three to four months. After that commitment is filled, candidates must be willing to travel to other Data Center locations. This individual must be team-oriented and possess positivity, honesty, attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will not only train apprentices, but also represent Kidwell on the jobsites and in front of customers and trade partners.
What You’ll Do
Work with the project/area/package Foreman to coordinate, plan, and complete job requirements
Supervise and train apprentices on your project/area/package
Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects/areas/packages
Work effectively with the general contractor, trade partners, and other contractors on-site to maintain project timelines
Install and repair electrical systems and equipment within the scope of the job
Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
Earn competitive wages and overtime; must be able to work multiple Saturdays and possible Sundays
Do You Have What It Takes?
Journeyman license required
Licensing in other states may be needed (Kidwell will assist and compensate for costs)
Willingness to travel, compensated with competitive per diem
Experience in Mission Critical (Data Center) or commercial industrial electrical work preferred
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills required
Good leadership and people skills
Minimum of 4 years of field experience preferred
Driver’s license required
Must pass a physical exam, criminal background check, and drug screening (One Source Level 2+ or equivalent level)

Compensation: $140 daily plus per diem; competitive salary with career development potential. Passenger reimbursements for certain certifications and trainings.
