Work Shift Night (United States of America)

Job Summary Weekend Option Nights 7p-7a. 24 hrs week for 28 bed Med Surg /Telemetry floor with focus on Post Surgical care.

Sign On Bonus & Experience Requirement Sign on Bonus eligible. WEO requires recent and relevant MED SURG RN experience preferably in post surgical med surg.

Location & Designation Magnet Designated Paulding campus in Hiram GA – 4 STAR CMS scores for patient satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence‑based practice, analytical/critical thinking and ensuring individualized care.

Provides relationship‑based, patient‑centered care considering age, gender, disease, and cultural diversity.

Partners with the patient and significant others using appropriate methods (bedside shift report; interdisciplinary rounds; just‑in‑time and planned patient teaching).

Practices current clinical practice standards.

Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinates safe, quality patient care delivery and documentation, promoting respectful, inclusive interdisciplinary communication.

Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and supports recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members.

Participates in performance improvement and research utilization, and supports shared governance at all system levels.

Professional Development and Initiative Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education.

Serves as preceptor/mentor for professional nurses, staff, or students, modeling professional practice and fostering a healthy work environment.

Evidence‑Based Practice and Research Promotes evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.

Upholds all health‑care system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including TJC Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes.

Participates in data collection, addresses clinical questions with appropriate evidence and experts.

Resources and Support Proactively plans patient care across the continuum during direct patient care.

Participates in protocol and procedure development to achieve best practice outcomes.

Supports efficient use of human and material resources.

Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma (RN) – Preferred Bachelor of Nursing.

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact).

BLS – Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS – American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS‑I – Basic Life Support Instructor.

Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years completion of an accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours. Direct patient care experience preferred.
