Responsibilities
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Maintains instrumentation and work area.
Maintains quality control and calibration functions.
Demonstrates knowledge of specimen requirements and limitations of testing procedures.
Consistently completes testing within established time frames.
Recognize and address issues within the department.
Professional Development
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year MT or HTL program approved a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent or eligible.
Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
Experience
Prefer recent experience in a hospital laboratory as a Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) / Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) / Histotechnologist (HTL)
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification
Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent
Compensation/Benefits
$26.77-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience
Position qualifies for $3.00/hr night shift differential
