Responsibilities
Maintain instrumentation and work area.
Maintain quality control and calibration functions.
Provide training and assess competencies.
Consistently complete testing within established time frames.
Recognize and address issues within the department.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
Experience
Four (4) years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2); OR Two (2) years of laboratory experience as a MT/HTL (internal CLS3)
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification
Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent
Compensation/Benefits
$26.77-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience
Position qualifies for $3.00/hr night shift differential
