Responsibilities
Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, social services and other staff to implement Diabetes Education for pediatric patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Provide education to parents and patients in ambulatory and inpatient settings in collaboration with nursing staff.
Coordinate a disease‑specific registry and collaborate with providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
Use motivational interviewing skills to administer treatments, track patient compliance and improve clinical outcomes.
Educate patients and families on disease processes and perform ongoing assessment and re‑evaluation of health care needs.
Assist with managing patients in care transitions between visits and hospitalizations.
Monitor patient compliance with evidence‑based clinical guidelines for specific diseases.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio.
BLS required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
Knowledge of growth and development from infancy to adulthood.
Experience in health care, especially in endocrine or pediatric settings.
Benefits Competitive salary range $16.00‑$18.00 per hour. Full‑time, 40‑hour work week. Day shift schedule.
