Job Description A Bucket Operator’s primary responsibility is to assist with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. The operator operates an aerial lift (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines and may also operate chain saws, pruners, brush chipper, and climb trees using climbing equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate bucket trucks to remove vegetation from power lines.
Operate cutting equipment such as chainsaws, pruners, and brush chippers.
Climb trees using climbing gear when required.
Execute emergency storm duty as needed.
Qualifications
At least 6 months verifiable experience operating a bucket in utility or residential tree clearance.
CDL or valid driver’s license preferred.
Knowledge of pesticide handling beneficial but not mandatory.
Ability to travel across PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV.
Work Schedule 4–10 hour days, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday with mandatory overtime periods. Emergency duty may be required.
Rate of Pay Varies based on skills and experience.
Work Area Travel required throughout various states: PA, MD, OH, VA, WV.
