Summary Of Job Description The Associate Payroll Accountant position is responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining payroll information for assigned Regions. This position processes bi‑weekly payrolls and prepares daily, weekly, and bi‑weekly federal and state tax data for transmission to ADP.

Job Responsibilities

Process daily, weekly, and bi‑weekly payroll for assigned Regions and complete payroll cycle.

Ensure garnishment orders are properly handled.

Upload vacation hours to Payroll system, and process safety shoe payments from employees.

Enter, verify, and maintain payroll information for assigned Regions.

Provide customer service, communicating with General Managers regarding payroll time‑card issues.

Handle incoming calls from stores in assigned Region related to payroll issues.

Reconcile and prepare federal and state tax data for transmission to ADP.

Prepare journal entries for payroll tax liabilities for posting to the General Ledger System.

Handle and resolve agency inquiries.

May assist Supervisor in training other Payroll associates.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned.

Your Background & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required

Minimum one year of related experience in a retail/hospitality environment

If hired, successful completion of annual store training

Obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Note:

This position is a temporary assignment anticipated to last approximately six (6) weeks, with an average of 25 hours per week. Pay Range P1 $28–$35/ Hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
