Salary Range:
$100,000 – $135,000 per year
Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and compliance within a precision machining environment. This role manages customer complaints, returns, and 8D corrective actions, and works closely with plant supervisors and operators to resolve quality issues. The position also leads internal audits, maintains documentation for quality standards, and ensures adherence to industry certifications.
Responsibilities
Manage and implement quality systems to ensure compliance
Verify use of SPC and other process controls
Handle customer complaints, returns, and 8D corrective actions
Maintain logs for timely disposition of parts
Collaborate with plant supervisors and operators to resolve quality issues
Conduct internal and certification audits
Manage documentation for QS, ISO, IATF, and SPC standards
Interface with inspection department for PPAP preparation and submission
Oversee quality issues related to suppliers and subcontractors
Ensure employee training on quality policies and procedures
Serve as IATF 16949 and AS9100 management representative
Develop and maintain customer‑specific requirements, FMEA, PFMEA, and flow charts
Monitor customer portals for updates and compliance issues
Handle special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
5–10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in precision machined metals
ASQ certifications (CQM, CQE, or CQA) preferred
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Proficient in project management and organizational skills
Knowledge of QS, ISO, IATF, and SPC standards
Proven problem‑solving capabilities
Previous experience as IATF site lead
Compensation
Base salary range: $100,000 – $135,000 per year
Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance
Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance
No additional forms of compensation (e.g., stock options, equity, profit sharing)
Salary range is consistent across all locations
