Job Summary
Alpha School is a learning organization that transforms education through AI-driven literacy solutions. We seek a Literacy Coordinator to create and execute workshops that produce measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, and support nationwide curriculum expansion.
Responsibilities
Conduct adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development.
Create personalized motivational experiences through gamified literacy benchmarks.
Review student performance data to adjust instruction and identify actionable trends.
Partner with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes.
Build scalable, AI-integrated curriculum that supports early elementary students in reaching grade‑level reading proficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of experience facilitating small‑group reading interventions for early elementary students.
Capable of assessing reading proficiency, organizing students into groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre‑written curricula.
Experience with AI/adaptive learning platforms and ability to respond to student engagement patterns within those tools.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
Available to work on‑site at one of our locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico.
Compensation and Benefits $50/hr ($100,000/year), weekly pay. Health benefits start day one, plus HSA/FSA and 401(k) Roth. Relocation assistance provided. Position is full‑time (40 hours per week) and requires an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record.
