Position Overview As an entry‑level mechanical designer, you’ll contribute to projects across six dynamic sectors: Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. We collaborate with our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a unique client experience. Learn more about our sectors on our website.

Key Responsibilities

Perform calculations and design basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced staff.

Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.

Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.

Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs for projects.

Support business development or pursuit activities.

Participate in client, company, and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.

Occasionally visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Seek to fill gaps in industry and discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.

Maintain knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) and one year of experience, or three years of experience without a degree.

Basic proficiency in engineering design and knowledge of A&E industry codes, design guides, and standards.

Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.

Understanding of the fundamental principles of HVAC design.

Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Ranges

New York: $75,925 – $113,887

Los Angeles: $72,191 – $108,286

Denver: $68,457 – $102,685

Philadelphia: $68,457 – $102,685

Las Vegas: $65,345 – $98,018
