Crane Service Technician

is looking for a Crane Service Technician. This front‑line role requires both technical expertise and strong customer‑service skills.
Responsibilities
Perform on‑site repairs on overhead cranes and hoists as directed by the Service Supervisor or Manager.
Conduct planned maintenance and emergency repair on all crane and hoist systems, including after‑hours and weekend availability.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and structural issues through inspections, testing procedures and appropriate equipment.
Apply OSHA, ANSI, CMAA and other industry codes and regulations to all service activities.
Complete accurate daily paperwork: time tickets, service reports, inspection reports, expense reports and lead‑generation forms.
Review completed work with customers, obtain signature on service reports and maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain company equipment, tools and service vehicle inventory per manufacturer recommendations.
Communicate regularly with the local office and, when required, call in to the Service Supervisor at least once daily.
Collect and prepare information for proposals of replacement and repair opportunities.
Keep training assignments current and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements Education A high‑school diploma, vocational‑technical school, crane training program, trade school, equivalent military experience or technical college program is preferred.
Experience and Skills
At least 2 years in an industrial maintenance environment or equivalent military experience.
Experience with industrial HVAC controls, automation and prior overhead crane service is preferred.
Valid driver’s license in good standing; heavy lifting/pulling (min 75 lbs.) and working at heights greater than six feet.
Willingness to stay educated in the crane industry; computer literacy and technological savvy.
Strong written and verbal communication, mechanical aptitude, analytical and planning skills.
Detail oriented, self‑motivated, disciplined, able to multi‑task and work varied hours including overtime and on‑call.
Solid PC literacy (Microsoft Office) and excellent math skills.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E‑verify.
