Mobile Diesel Mechanic – Rush Enterprises, Inc
We’re looking for experienced, certified Mobile Diesel Technicians to support our fleet network and deliver on‑site service calls to our customers. Join a leader in the commercial truck industry and grow with us as we expand our network of locations and services.
Responsibilities
Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
Perform basic maintenance such as fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and scheduled inspections.
Manage inventory control on the service truck and stay stocked.
Report to the Service Manager and receive daily assignments.
Remain available for after‑hours service calls and an open work schedule.
Track and use supplied tools for diesel engine truck maintenance.
Read job orders, observe vehicles in operation, diagnose and plan repair procedures.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to determine and perform correct repairs.
Diagnose, remove, and replace injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, batteries, transmissions, and other parts.
Document all diagnostics and repairs on the company computer system.
Inspect safety devices, adjust as needed, and lubricate moving parts.
Perform preventive maintenance as requested.
Submit paperwork or enter service data accurately and timely.
Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
Advise customers or service writers on needed repairs within the next 3 months.
Participate in training and apply it to daily work.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
Current CDL preferred but not required.
Medical card as required by FMVS.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications preferred and rewarded.
