Annual Fund and Grants Manager
Role at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee. Full-time, 12-month position responsible for developing and managing an integrated annual fund and grants strategy to build donor base and increase philanthropic support. The manager will oversee year‑round cultivation, solicitations, stewardship, database integrity, and grant writing/reporting.
Responsibilities
Develop knowledge of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s Catholic, Jesuit mission and funding priorities to articulate a compelling case for support.
Plan and implement a comprehensive annual appeals program for key constituents to increase participation, dollars raised, and donor engagement.
Manage a portfolio of annual donors—identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and individual donors.
Research, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individuals capable of making an annual gift of $1,000 or more.
Prioritize and submit grant proposals, coordinate/execute all impact reporting, and lead relationship development with new grant‑making partners.
Identify and develop a plan for increased matching and recurring gifts.
Develop reports to inform fund strategy and measure fundraising progress.
Track and measure the effectiveness of solicitations, annual fund, KPI, and strategic initiatives to determine progress toward goals.
Participate in educational and professional development opportunities to further philanthropy growth at CRJ.
Attend community‑sponsored evening and weekend activities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned, including assignments not specific to the annual fund.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience; CFRE encouraged.
Strong team player, self‑starter, motivational leader with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment on multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with keen attention to detail.
Desire and ability to support the Catholic and Ignatian character of the school.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with fundraising & constituent management database required.
DonorPerfect experience preferred.
