We’re looking for a Corporate Accountant to own the day‑to‑day accounting, billing, and AR processes that keep the business running smoothly and accurately.

About The Role The Corporate Accountant owns Cookie’s internal accounting operations, with a strong focus on bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and recurring subscription billing. This is a hands‑on role responsible for maintaining clean books, managing AR and AP workflows, and ensuring Stripe subscription billing accurately reflects our pricing and products.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in fast‑moving environments, and cares deeply about accuracy and process.
What You’ll Own Internal Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate and timely internal financial records.
Own reconciliations and month‑end close processes.
Ensure clean, reliable financial data for leadership and external partners.
Coordinate with external tax or accounting partners as needed.
Accounts Receivable & Subscription Billing
Own AR end‑to‑end, with a focus on recurring subscription revenue.
Manage Stripe as the system of record for subscription billing and AR.
Monitor failed payments, defaults, and aging balances.
Follow up on outstanding balances and subscription lapses.
Accounts Payable
Manage AP workflows, approvals, and payment schedules.
Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
Maintain AP controls and documentation.
Financial Controls & Process Improvement
Maintain strong internal controls around billing and cash flow.
Identify AR risks early and flag trends or issues.
Improve accounting and billing processes as the company scales.
What Success Looks Like
Clean, accurate internal books with smooth month‑end closes.
High collection rates with minimal aging AR.
Stripe subscriptions accurately reflect pricing and plans.
Pricing and plan changes are implemented cleanly with minimal billing errors.
Leadership has confidence in revenue accuracy and AR visibility.
AR issues are identified early and addressed before becoming systemic.
What We’re Looking For Must‑Haves
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a growing company.
Strong experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Hands‑on experience managing subscription billing (Stripe preferred).
High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Sales, Ops, and Tech.
Ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience in SaaS or subscription‑based businesses.
Familiarity with accounting automation tools and process improvement.
Experience partnering with external accountants or tax providers.
