Pay Range:
$22.96 - $28.70 SXX.XX / hour The Assistant General Manager works closely with the GM, leads by example, and oversees daily operations to ensure a fantastic experience for every member and staff member. Responsibilities
Assist in leading a team of 20-30 employees toward superior customer service, cleanliness, and culture. Collaborate with the GM to address escalated employee concerns in partnership with HR. Work with the team on member billing inquiries, guiding difficult interactions, and escalating to the GM when necessary. Establish and maintain proactive cross‑departmental communication for fitness operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the GM to develop staff through one‑on‑one conversations, performance reviews, and coaching documentation including termination. Run daily operations such as scheduling lunch breaks and maintaining appropriate staff levels on shift, ensuring club quality assurance, and completing opening and closing duties. Maintain proficiency in all amenities, membership inquiries, fitness programs, and equipment functions. Recruit and onboard new talent by conducting phone screens and in‑person interviews. Secure inventory processes by preparing for weekly and monthly counts, ordering, restocking, and organizing new products. Perks & Benefits

Required 2+ years of experience in customer service 2+ years of experience leading a team Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts as needed Exceptional verbal and social communication skills with a teamwork mindset Positive attitude and composure under pressure Ability to multi‑task and handle shifting priorities Service‑based attitude and ability to receive and deliver feedback Extreme attention to detail Physical Requirements Read, write, and speak English clearly Walk and climb stairs within the club Bend, kneel, and perform repetitive arm movements Stand for long periods Perform repetitive phone work, typing, and computer operations Lift at least 50 lbs Preferred High school graduate or GED Bachelor’s degree or ongoing education Background in sports or fitness Additional Information
